Hearth No. 2
Hand-Carved Plaster Tea Light Sculpture
Hearth No. 3 transforms architectural forms into an intimate study of light, movement, and shadow. Designed, handmade, and hand-carved by artist Gianna Valente, this sculptural plaster tea light holder features two elevated forms framing the candle, a sweeping carved passage, and a small arched opening at its base.
A red tea light rests at the center of the sculpture, while coordinating red-tipped matches are held within an integrated opening along the side. The rich red accents create a striking contrast against the natural white plaster and emphasize the functional elements of the design.
A discreet match-striking surface is located on the underside of the sculpture, allowing the entire candle-lighting experience to remain thoughtfully incorporated into the piece.
The irregular carved texture preserves the artist’s hand and gives the sculpture a tactile, weathered quality. Every marking and subtle variation is part of its handmade character.
Both a functional tea light holder and a small-scale work of art, Hearth No. 3 can be displayed on a shelf, coffee table, mantel, or bedside table—with or without the candle lit.
